Mission Fail?

Dear reader,

I've been avoiding blogging you all, because I've been bad at keeping the diet.

Have you ever wondered why diets are so hard to maintain? I have been thinking about it a lot lately, and the conclusion seems to be that life gets in the way. Yes LIFE... whether it be a dinner date, friends in town wanting to go to fun, hip place or just you sitting at home watching a Lifetime movie. During those alone moments the instinct to add popcorn to the mix enters your mind, followed by coke then chinese... then it's all downhill.

The cycle of "Oh, I'll just grab something while I'm out" becomes the norm and the old days of pre-prepared and thought out meals get kicked to the curb. Lunchtime with co-workers becomes a staple again and soon your fresh fruit and veggies go bad and the skinny/healthy feeling you had about yourself goes down the drain.

I would like to blame anyone but myself for this, but will not. My skinny jeans are mocking me and the galloon jug of water that used to be a necessity each and every day is sitting on the floor at my desk screaming CHEATER!

It's time to regroup, reinstate, renew, revive...hm, any other re- words?

This mission to become healthier has not failed.

What do ya'll find the hardest thing about dieting? Minus the hard work it takes... ;)

Here are some DO NOTs ...
- Skimp on sleep!
- Give up!

Until the next time we speak, my head is held high knowing that I am choosing what goes in my body - not someone else.
Eat right, keep active and don't give up.

Signing off 2 lbs up,
Blaire
